In Mexico, the fight against violence against women has found a new front: technology. In an unprecedented collaborative effort, the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Foods Industry (CANIRAC) of Jalisco, the Government of the state of Jalisco and Soft Restaurant®, have joined forces to launch the "Here You Are Safe" initiative.  

This project seeks to raise awareness about the importance of women's safety, and equip restaurants with a powerful tool: a new "help button" integrated directly into the Soft Restaurant® software system.  

The "You Are Safe Here" Initiative", is a direct response to the urgent need to provide safe spaces for women from Jalisco. At the center of this initiative is the "stop button." help", a functionality incorporated into the software Soft Drinks Restaurant® which allows restaurant employees to alert the authorities immediately and discreetly of any incident of violence against women. This tool not only provides an answer fast, but also acts as a potential deterrent to possible aggressors and stalkers.

The Role of Technology in Protection and Security

Technology has proven to be a crucial ally in the protection of individuals and communities, this movement is a perfect example of how innovation can be applied for social good, transforming everyday spaces into safe havens. Soft Restaurant® has been at the forefront of this movement, adapting the software to not only improve restaurant management but also contribute to the safety of diners.  

This innovation goes beyond technological implementation; It represents a cultural change towards taking collective responsibility in the protection of women. Although it is difficult to measure the immediate impact, the testimonials and the growing interest of other restaurants in joining the initiative indicate a promising future. Restaurants interested in joining can begin the process by contacting CANIRAC Jalisco or directly to the Soft Restaurant® team. In addition to receiving access to the "help button," restaurants will benefit from being part of a growing network of establishments committed to the safety and well-being of their customers, while gaining a significant competitive advantage.  

This initiative for now will cover the western area of ​​Guadalajara and will come into force as of Wednesday, March 27. 

 "Here You Are Safe" is more than an initiative; It is a call to action for society as a whole to take an active role in the fight against violence against women. Through collaboration between the public sector, the restaurant industry and technology, the path is being charted towards a future where safety is not a concern but a guarantee.
